LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

As owner and innovator of JRM, Inc., I want to thank you for your trust in our products. I would like to tell you about my background so that you can better understand my interest and passion for helping the golf/turf industry.

In 1967, I started working at a municipal course in Winston-Salem and have worked every summer since in the golf industry. Through hard work and dedication combined with good academic standing, I was extremely fortunate to land one of the most prestigious jobs in North Carolina as the Assistant Superintendent at Charlotte Country Club. Through the years, I worked at three other courses, the last as Golf Director and General Manager before starting JRM Inc. in August of 1992. During the previous decades there were many times I was frustrated by the poor quality of consumable parts. In late 1993, I decided to focus full-time on JRM, which, at the time, was a contractor service business specializing in deep tine aerification. Once again I became frustrated by the OEM tines, and I began searching for ways to improve them.

It has been my dream to make life for the maintenance technicians, superintendents, and contractors as easy and as productive as possible.In 1994, I began selling my improved tines to other contractors, and I landed my first big manufacturing contract with a major OEM. In 1997, I introduced our line of conventional aerification tines, and in January 1998, I introduced the Dillennium line.
The JRM product line is constantly changing and improving, a shining example being our highly regarded DURANIUM-801® greens mower bedknives.
So, you can see, golf has been the center of my life for nearly four decades. I am committed to continuing to invent new and innovative parts for the turf industry at a price that reflects value. Simply put, the tines we make today are not the tines we will make 10 years from now, they will evolve.
